Fire That Burns!
Bookmark this space! Coming soon…our redesigned web page, www.firethatburns.org!
If I have one dream for any of you visiting this page, it would be that you can freely and fully answer the question, “What fire burns your soul?” God has a special dream for every one of us. Have you ever asked yourself questions like, “Who am I?” “Where is my life headed?” “What does God want from me?” If so, then get ready for the life-long work of figuring out God’s unique plan for your life. When you begin to reflect on what sets your heart on fire for God, you will be on the path to discovering your vocation – your calling – to finding and following God’s will for you! The happiest people I know in the world are those who discovered what the particular fire was that set their hearts ablaze. They are faith-filled, dynamic, committed, happy people serving the Lord as married persons, priests, single men and women, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, even a few bishops I know! What fire burns your soul…? There are lots of people willing to help you in your searching. Let us know if we can help. Feel free to contact me at the link or numbers below, or try one of the links found elsewhere on this page. If you have any ideas about our new website, please send them to me. What would be helpful to you? For the time being, you might check out some of my favorite “discernment” websites. At www.ichoseyou.com. you’ll find some good articles from the Diocese of Louisville’s vocation office (I’ve been doing lots of research!). At www.lifeworkproject.com you can download a talk on how all of us need to be thinking about these things, or take a survey to assess how well you’ve opened yourself up to the process. (If you’d like to order some of the materials, please feel free to ask me for some assistance.) Whatever I can do to help, please ask. I’ll be praying for you; you can count on it! Fr. J. Friedel Director of Vocations and Seminarians
The seminarians of Conception Seminary College invite you to Encounter With God’s Call, a weekend opportunity to spend time with men your own age who, like you, are seeking God’s will in their lives. You will be immersed in the daily life of a seminary. They ... |
